Why is my Auto insurance not compliant?
Top reason for Auto Insurance being marked as non-compliant:
- Service Pro does not have required coverage
- If Service Pro OWNS company vehicles (Company Information), they must have coverage for Owned OR Scheduled Autos AND for both Hired AND Non-Owned Vehicles. If "Any Auto" is marked on the Certificate of Insurance, this meets the requirement as well. Coverage for Hired and Non-Owned vehicles is required regardless of whether the Contractor owns vehicles or not.
- If Service Pro does NOT OWN company vehicles (Company Information), they must have coverage for Hired AND Non-Owned Vehicles. If "Any Auto" is marked on the Certificate of Insurance, this meets the requirement as well. Coverage for Hired and Non-Owned vehicles is required regardless of whether the Contractor owns vehicles or not
Things to Consider:
- Is my answer to the question, "Do you own Company Vehicles?" accurate? - See Company Information.
- If I own company vehicles, does my Certificate of Insurance have one of the following options selected?
- Any Autos; OR
- Owned Autos AND Hired Autos AND Non-Owned Autos; OR
- Scheduled Autos AND Hired Autos AND Non-Owned Autos.
- If I do NOT own company vehicles AND I have a Commercial Auto Liability policy, does my Certificate of Insurance have one of the following options selected?
- Any Autos; OR
- Hired Autos AND Non-Owned Autos
- If I do NOT own company vehicles AND I do NOT have a Commercial Auto Liability policy, does my General Liability include an endorsement for Hired and Non-Owned Autos? Some examples of endorsement verbiage include: Hired and Non-Owned, HNOA, ENOL, and UNOC.
